Bamboo
is a type of grass of which there are many varieties. It grows in
different climates, both temperate and tropical, and can be found high
on mountainsides and in the jungle. Bamboo is flexible bending in
strong winds, but it rarely breaks. Bamboo, as a metaphor from the
natural world, symbolizes the essence of the ongoing cultural diplomacy
associated with crossing the cultural bridge and mending the gap
between nursing and healing traditions.
