  Spirtuality/Shamanism

HerbalDosha! Hello! The Bamboo Bridge Community welcomes discussion about Spirituality and Shamanism.  Western medicine has long separated religion/spirituality and spiritual healers/Shaman from the physical healing that has largely been their practitioners’ sole focus.  But even now the West is recognizing what many indigenous and other peoples have known for millennia, that these aspects of life are inextricably intertwined. As an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes of North Dakota- the Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation, I have focused my work on American Indian elderly.  Nowhere has this spirit/body connection been more apparent to me in my 20 years of nursing.

Please join the Bamboo Bridge Community and share your experiences, views and thoughts on working within a frame of spiritual/mental/emotional/ and physical healing. We look forward to rich discussion and movement in this healing arena that nursing shares with indigenism.

Primary Purpose:
Our purpose is to build a community of nurse scholars and healers who look beyond the physical as their sole focus in healing arts. This community is a place for communicating, connecting, sharing, and celebrating your work with the spirit.
